He currently serves as the Chair of the Legislature. Andrew is a combat veteran, having served tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. As an enlisted soldier, Andrew drove 5,000 gallon fuel tankers in and out of Baghdad International Airport to points south in Iraq in the early days of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. After returning home, Andrew earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Political Science. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the NY Army National Guard and has since been promoted to Major.
